Music Industry 2nd Poem

Music Industry

America's taste in music truly baffles me
We're stuck on the flip side,
highlighting the lows of the industry
Autotune and electro has taken over
Where did the clear, true beats go whoa
All you need is bass, a few rhymes here we go oh
Sexy costumes, bright lights, call it a show
Glitz and glam, don't even wear microphones
Don't need to check their sounds, they just dance to so called art
Can't even hear what they truly sound like
Digging for gold, when you find it, it's overplayed on the radio
Messages in music don't need to be heard
We seem to have lost meaning in our words
Losing the elements essential
to a song
Catchy, relatable, dance or sing along
No one will look back on the 21st century
As an era of good music, a few years we'll be history
Sound like robots, screeching echos made from machines
A process no longer man made, filled with parental advisories
Every other word an f-bomb
Hard to take it all seriously
It don't need to be clean
But it seems like all the big songs in the making turn out to be catashtrophies
When will the world wake
up to this epiphany
If you want real music back, sing your protests with me
People on youtube better than the artists that perform on tv
Don't get me wrong
I don't believe in hating
A lot of talented people, we just aren't seeing
A wise man once said seeing is believing
Blend in with the crowd
Unable to break out
Katy cats and lovatics giving you a shout out
Forgetting what music is truly all about
If you feel the way I do, make it known now
Letting myself shine through, this song is my statement
Not trying to get rich or become a household staple
Just doing what I love, comes from my heart and passionate soul
Trying to get my foot in the door of an infested industry
Raise your hands in the air, sway 'em if you're with me
