body of proof is axing 3 main characters on the show due to "lack of ratings". Over 10 million viewers watched the season finale but I guess that wasn't enough for abc. John Carrol Lynch, Nicholas Bishop, and Sonja Sohn who play Detective Bud Morris, Peter Dunlop, and Detective Samantha Baker respectively are all leaving the series. On the season finale Peter was stabbed by one of the guys Megan put in jail who had escaped. It can be assumed that his character will be killed off. They are bringing in two younger detectives. One named Tommy Sullivan who was with Megan twenty years ago and broke up after he cheated on her. The other is Detective Adam Schaeffer.
