A kickass book... action, drama, promiscuity, the perfect mix of everything

New Post

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson. I'm speechless, it was that good, almost nothing shuts me up! It was a phenomenal read. The Swedish writer has a gift with words, making everything mysterious but not overly dramatic. It is about a financial journalist named Mikael Blomkist and how he was convicted of libel. He wrote a story about someone committing fraud without proof. Then, out of nowhere Henrik Vanger of Vanger Corporations asks him to solve a murder. The catch, it is 36 years old and almost everyone in his family is a suspect. Also, it happened during a huge car accident keeping a lot of people stuck on one side of a huge bridge. He and genius, computer hacker and tattooed Lisbeth Salander take on the case and find out horrifying details about the family. You do need patience to read this book and the Sweden names can be confusing but it is worth it. I am the least patient person you will ever meet and I read the full 640 pages, concentrating fully and eager to turn the next page and find out another secret. It is the first book of the trilogy and I give it five out of five stars. It's the type of book you'd be reading at three in the morning because it is that good, or because you are forbidden to read it and just can't help yourself. That is part of it's allure. BUT seriously, I have to warn it is the most graffic book I have ever read and I read ALOT!  I had to beg my mom to let me read it and she is very laidback.
GIVE it a try. Anyone would like it!
