just a thought... turned genius read it all, it's worth it trust me

New Post

I am the queen of tv, I must watch it 6 hours a day, at least. I have ten to fifteen shows in my repetoir, and oldies but goodies I love to watch. Some things like American Idol and Dancing with the Stars are still interesting, others have flopped. Pretty Little Liars, The Secret life of the american teenager, desperate housewives, 90210, grey's anatomy, even beloved phenomenon Glee. The only show I watch that hasn't lost it's edge one bit is Gossip Girl. It almost takes you to a different world, but isn't unrealistic, the drama is done in a way that you don't go ughh give me a break, or that would never happen. It might never happen, but the writers on that show are doing their job right. Since I am the queen of tv, I'm going to give the lowdown on all of your favorite shows and my personal opinions. Hey, its my expertise. Let's start with the secret life of the american teenager. It used to be one of my favorite shows and is still extremely popular. With a racy storyline about a pregnant teen named Amy it was so controversial, yet not overdone which I liked and find seldom to be true with tv these days. Now, it has pitballed into this unrealistic 90210-ish thing of changing couples every two seconds. I watch every episode and find it hard to keep up. Amy and Ben, Ben and Adrienne, Adrienne and Ricky, Amy and Ricky, Grace and Jack, Jack and Madison, it's ridiculous. They are just putting Amy and Ricky together to try to please their viewers and what they should be doing is having a relatively normal episode with some drama, not an episode where there is so much drama that you crave the normal scenes where Ashley and Mr. Juergen's crack hilarious lines about others.
I forgot Make it or Break it, it is not too bad now, but spoiler alert it's getting worse. Sources tell me Kaylie is going to get help for her eating disorder, meet a friend, then that friend gives her the worst advice on how to hide not eating, that it is right, and ultimately that friend is the one who dies in the promo. Sasha leaves and comes back, Laurens dad gets back together with the old full house star, and big shocker Emily ends up preggers.
Desperate Housewives, not many teens watch it, but it used to be good. Now, the focus is on dying Susan who has this dramatic scene with Mike about living life to the fullest and five minutes ago someone stepped up to donate a kidney for her and she will go home and find that out. The catch, the donor Paul's wife, shot herself in the head in the hospital, with nothing to live for and eerily calm. The worst part, my mom and I hit the nail on the head and guessed it.
90210, the new one.. Not nearly as good as the original, but for the first couple of seasons they had something. They had couple drama but not too much. To sum it up, the same problem as secret life, too many couples, a rape, Adrianna stole a dead popstars songs and passed them off as her own, and the new girl who is like an evil Annie. Ahh, Beverly Hills, why do you portray yourself like rich, hell on Earth. At least Gossip Girl is an inviting sexy rich world. But the only thing 90210 will do is bring down the population of Beverly Hills itself.
Glee, not too bad on the couple drama. There have been some like Rachel and Finn, Quin and Finn, Santana and Puck, Quin and Puck, Lauren and Puck, Tina and the other guy, Artie and Tina, Artie and Brittany, Brittany and Santana. They could tone all that down. Mr. Schuester and Holly Holiday are kind of a couple, maybe stay tuned. I think this show can be saved. The original songs were great and gwyneth paltrow adds life to the show as Holly, a sexy, radiant, effortless substitute teacher. This show has real promise, I hate to see all that go down the drain.
Finally, Grey's Anatomy. The medical drama that had a reputation for changing couples at least twice an episode. Sex in an oncall room is part of its charm. No one would watch a medical drama that was realistic on what actually happened in ors. Meredith can't have a baby, Christina doesn't want one, Callie is having one with Marc and Arizona has to accept that. Teddy is married to her patient to give him insurance. I'm pretty sure insurance fraud is still illegal, but in this case I don't think it should be. Too baby oriented. Dr. Bailey is still right on as her cut throat, joking self. It has heated up a bit too much and lost a little edge, but its the 7th season believe it or not, so give them a break, I really hope they pull it together.
That is it on criticizing. Remember everybody loves raymond, seinfield, law and order, er, buffy the vampire slayer, charmed, ghost whisperer, all those shows didn't need the drama, they captivated audiences with just the right amount of action or comedy, or the intriguing plot line that always had a story waiting to tell.
