a soft place to land is an AMAZING book! It is about two sisters named Ruthie and Julia who lose their parents Phil and Naomi after a plane crash. It spans over a period of two decades after the accident and how it affects them. The two sisters are almost complete opposites, Ruthie being delicate and sensitive, Julia being strong and sort of icy cold personality wise. This book is awesome, its the first book I read thinking twenty minutes had gone by and it had actually been three hours, I read it in a few days, it was that GOOD! My ownly critique was it was a little overly detailed, but that can also enhance the picture I get in my mind whenever I read. If you don't or can't experience that movie while reading I guarantee this book will do that. I wish it would become a movie. 5 out of 5 stars for sure!!!
