This is the last entry, I'm putting it up again to jog your memory since it's been awhile since I wrote double life...   :)


He leaves the house holding back tears. He doesn't want to be a blubbering mess when he talks to Tiffany. He turns on the radio and starts singing the lyrics the Don't Stop Believing by Journey. He is unable to get into it because the song's lyrics are the exact opposite of his mood and feelings. He tries other stations but they are all damn christmas music, which he hates. He turns the radio off angrily and slumps back in his seat. He is so tired, struggling to keep his eyes open. He is at a red light so he closes his eyes for one second just to relax. Then the light turns green and he is still asleep. There is a boom and a loud crash. Mitch's blood is spurted everywhere, he is knocked unconscious, and has glass from the car stuck in his skin.



THE NEW CHAPTER of Double Life

Mitch wakes up in a hospital room. He he has a tube in his nose to help him breathe and he hears a heart monitor beeping. He awakens to see Tiffany standing over him asking "Baby are you ok? I am so happy you're still alive.... She enthused,  The doctor's said it was a miracle you survived!"  He asked confusedly "Ummm.... who are you exactly?" Tiffany puts a hand to her mouth in shock and ushers the doctor in. Dr. Smalls says "Well um how are you feeling, otherwise....?" "The memory loss. Mitch finished for him, "I have a splitting headache, otherwise I am just sore all over." Mr. Smalls nods and tells him "You are lucky. Medically with the internal injuries you sustained you should be dead now." Mitch nervously questions "How long will the amnesia last." Dr Smalls hesitates "Well, it could be a few days, or your memory could never come back, we'll have to do a head ct and see what damage has been done." Michael can see the tears on Tiffany's face. He feels a ring on his wedding finger and sees one on her wedding finger as well. He is standing by his wife with absolutely no recollection of her whatsoever. He has a feeling he wanted to tell this woman something important. But he'll be damned if he knows what it is. Mitch searches his memory and finds not only does he forget his wife, he doesn't know his name. He doesn't know who he is and what hospital he is in. He closes his eyes, tunes the doctor out, and drifts to sleep hoping to dream about himself and recall something while catching up on his rest. Well,, he wanted a chance to start over. No time is better than the present.
